I have over 30 years of experience in implementing, maintaining, and improving food safety and quality systems and supervising or conducting audits.

In addition, I attend various working groups where legislation on food contact materials is discussed, such as the EU-10-2011 (plastics coming into contact with food), EU-1935-2004 (framework regulation), EU-2023-2006 (Good Manufacturing Practices), Bisphenol A (18th amendment EU-2024-3190), Quality amendment (19th amendment EU-2025-351), 20th amendment EU-2025-2240, PFAS, metals, kitchenware, etc.:

• the CFREP (Contact sensitive Food contact plastics Regulatory Expert Panel) of the EuPC in Brussels: here, new legislation is proposed by the European commission and, among other things, suggestions to improve or facilitate the legislation are given to the commission.
• the working group on food contact materials of the industry association NRK (Dutch Rubber and Plastics): new legislation is discussed here, and practical implementation is considered, among other things.
• different webinars, conferences, masterclasses, topic days, etc.

I work with FOCOS software to create statements of compliance.

To reduce the number of migration tests needed and avoid incurring unnecessary expenditures, I use the (worst case) family approach.
